An intake gasket seals the connection between the intake manifold and the engine, preventing air and fuel mixture from leaking out.

What are the signs of a failing intake gasket?

Symptoms of a failing intake gasket include engine misfires, rough idling, coolant leaks, and decreased engine performance. A strong coolant smell or coolant leaks near the intake manifold are also signs of gasket failure.

What causes an intake gasket to fail?

Over time, heat and pressure can cause the gasket to crack or warp. Improper installation, using the wrong type of gasket, or long-term wear from thermal cycling can also contribute to gasket failure.
